Last week, Warner Connects was honored to be among the two finalists nominated for the 2020 Award for Best Website Launch or Revision from the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT), a national organization that recognizes those improving sustainable transportation options for commuters. We came out on top and won the ACT award for our online Walk Audit Tool, which we launched at a community event in November 2019.

Our easy-to-use tool allows Warner Center residents, employees, and visitors to use their smartphones to document physical conditions that impact walkability in the area. For example, you can use the tool to photograph a well-shaded sidewalk or suggest an improvement for an intersection that is difficult to cross on foot. Photos, descriptions, and suggestions are all forwarded to the City of LA so we can build a more walkable Warner Center together.

So next time you’re out and about on foot, pull out your phone and use our tool to help make Warner Center a more accessible and pedestrian-friendly place for everyone to get around!
